Thunderstorm producing locally heavy rain. High reflectivities (left) in a low elevation angle PPI scan through a thunderstorm over the city of Greeley on 8 May 2017. Corresponding specific propagation differential phase (right) contains Kdp values up to ~8 deg / km due to heavy rain and melting hail. This storm caused significant flooding in Greeley.
