Positive Kdp areas near the -15 deg C altitude in a snowstorm X-Band Kdp values approaching 1 deg / km were observed where snow crystals were actively growing over the foothills of Larimer County between ~16 and 22 UTC in a snowstorm on 24 February 2013.
