The Virtual CHILL (VCHILL) concept allows remotely located users to display realtime and archived data and even control the operation of the radar.
Our remote VCHILL display client software is implemented in Java. This allows it to be used on a wide variety of computers, including Windows PC's, Linux, and Unix systems.
The T1 line to the radar site can support a limited number of realtime users. To manage this resource, we require that users login to the system to access the displays. Casual users are welcome to try the system, however we may need to limit access at times to assure that the principal investigators have access to the system.
If you agree to these conditions, please go to the User Services page to setup your signon. Your email address is used as your signon name on the system. You will also be asked to create a password for the signon. We will keep you posted via email as needed with news regarding the VCHILL system. If you forget your password, you can return to the User_Services page and have your password emailed to you.
Running the Java display is as easy as clicking a link on the web page. Once you have registered, please go to the Java Page to get started.
VCHILL users note that as of May 3, we have switched to a new server and new version of the Java display. If you have an error while the Java program is downloading, try clearing your browser cache.
