Biography

My role is to develop new meteorological radar systems, while deploying and maintaining the existing radars and systems at the CSU-CHILL facility. My work interests are:

• RF/Microwave engineering
• Digital signal processing
• Programmable logic
• Microcontrollers and embedded systems
• Radar data visualization
• PCB design

I also maintain the network infrastructure at the radar site.

My current projects include:

• Solid-state C-band radar (project lead)
• Sea-Pol ship-borne C-band radar (project lead)
• FrontX Phased Array X-band radar
• System design - Solid-state S-band Transmit/receive (SBTRX)
  • Waveform-agile, wide bandwidth microwave up/down converter
  • Intermediate Frequency up/down converter
  • Digital Waveform Generator and Digital Pulse-compression Receiver
  • Integration w/ solid-state transmitter, including system packaging
• CSU-CHILL Transmitter Power Supply Upgrade
• CSU-CHILL Receiver Front End
• The WiBEX X-band solid-state radar
• Dual-channel 0-400 MHz arbitrary waveform generator
• Motion control system for WiBEX pedestal
